Wow, took me a moment to find out where the comment box was. Fun to listen to your first episode. We had many same insights into the movie. Glad we our on the same track. Thanks for letting me know about this Bob. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat would be a good title for the next Avengers movie?
ReplyDeleteGreat inaugural episode! I was wondering about the Captain Marvel teaser at the end of the movie too; maybe all the "dead" people are inside the Soul Stone, and Carol has some way of accessing it? I guess we'll have to wait till her movie comes out to see the scope of her powers (and where she's been all this time).
ReplyDeleteI saw a trailer for Ant Man & Wasp during tonight's Flash season finale ... looks pretty cool. Hopefully, they'll have a substantial role to play in the next movie too.
Hey Mike -thanks for dropping in! Yes, that's a good question about the Soul Stone. It seemed like maybe Gamora's essence was inside of it -could she also still play a role?
ReplyDeleteGuys, loved the first episode!!! I listened on my way to work and enjoyed every minute... One point, since we're hearing you but not seeing you, it was a bit difficult sometimes to tell who was speaking. "Walker" was easy; she's the one who sounds like Kim Comando. Larry and Bob, not so much. There were a few times you said each other's names. Perhaps until we've learned everybody, we could "pass off" to each other. If Bob was talking and Larry pick ups, maybe Larry could say "Bob", then Bob would say "Yes, Larry". It would help me immensely...
ReplyDeleteI'd like to throw out a topic of suggestion for a future podcast:
The Crossover!!! Inter and intra. The intras: there were a few stories lines that started in one book and then went to another. Avengers to X-Men or Daredevil to Ghost Rider. Then the multi part events such as the Avengers - Defenders War. Those 80s summer events where the story went through the summer annuals.
The inters: Spider-Man and Superman crossovers. The X-Men Teen Titans event. Byrne's Captain America Batman Elsewhere story.
There were also the "low key" ones. The Supreme Squadron modeled after the Justice League. The Shiar Imperial Guard modeled on the Legion of Super Heroes. DC's Funky Finkleman being Stan Lee.
Just a suggestion...
(Who are you? Who, who, who, who?
Who are you? Who, who, who, who?
Who are you? Who, who, who, who?
Who are you? Who, who, who, who?
I woke up in a Soho doorway
A policeman knew my name
He said, "You can go sleep at home tonight
If you can get up and walk away."
I staggered back to the underground
And the breeze blew back my hair
I remember throwin' punches around
And preachin' from my chair
Well, who are you?
(Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
I really wanna know
(Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
Tell me, who are you?
(Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
'Cause I really wanna know
(Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
I took the tube back out of town
Back to the Rollin' Pin
I felt a little like a dying clown
With a streak of Rin Tin Tin
I stretched back and I hiccuped
And looked back on my busy day
Eleven hours in the Tin Pan
God, there's got to be another way
Well, who are you?
(who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
Oh, who are you?
(Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
Come on tell me who are you?
(Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
Alright who the fuck are you?
(Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
Who are you?
Who are you? Who, who, who, who?
Who are you? Who, who, who, who?
Who are you? Who, who, who, who?
Who are you? Who, who, who, who?
I really wanna know
(Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
I really wanna know
(Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
Come on tell me who are you
(Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
'Cause I really wanna know
(Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
I know there's a place you walked
Where love falls from the trees
My heart is like a broken cup
I only feel right on my knees
I spit out like a sewer hole
Yet still receive your kiss
How can I measure up to anyone now
After such a love as this?
Well, who are you?
(Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
Come on tell me who are you
(Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
Oh, I really wanna know
(Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
Tell me tell me who are you
(Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
I really wanna know
Oh, I really wanna know
Come on tell me who are you, you, you, you).
Prowler! I feel so honored to have our site graced with your song lyrics. Thanks for sharing your insight regarding the guys' voices -duly noted, and we will make an effort to identify ourselves (or at least they will). We'll be doing another session very soon so this is good feedback! Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for the topic ideas.
